COVID Quilt display—please include an index card pinned to your quilt describing in your own handwriting how making the quilt helped you to cope with COVID. Give the card and quilt for display to Maggie on Friday, October 8.
Any other items for display should be labeled with the maker's name.
Maggie also asked everyone to bring in one quilt rack, wooden ironing board, hall tree, wooden ladder, or something on which to display quilts.
There will be tables for Quilts of Valor quilts.
Individual sale of quilts was discussed. Any such sale must be arranged privately, separate from the Quilt Sale. It was voted that 10% of the proceeds would go to Cashiers Quilters. We cannot advertise quilts for sale or solicit sales, so discretion is advised.
Set up for the Quilt Show will be on Friday, October 8, at the Library. Those who are able to do physical work such as moving tables, etc. should come at 3:00 p.m. Others should arrive at 4:00 p.m. We should complete the work by 5:00 p.m. Kate reminded members to pin the index card to their COVID quilts. Extra flyers and raffle tickets were distributed as requested.
Members were encouraged to see the Library display case, which is featured in today's Cashiers Chronicle .
